Day 01. Bali (Sanur/Kuta/Denpasar) – Ijen area

We pick you up at your hotel in the morning. It is a three hours drive to Gilimanuk, the village where the ferry leaves for Java. The cross over takes one hour, after which we drive to a restaurant at the seashore to have lunch. Then we drive to the Ijen Plateau (1.5 - 2 hours). You still have enough time to enjoy the surroundings and visit the plantation. You spent the night in a home stay at the Ijen Plateau.

Day 02. Ijen tracking – Ijen crater tour – Bali

At 05.00 o'clock in the morning you have breakfast with coffee or tea before departing with our 4WD to Paltuding. Paltuding is the point from where you start trekking to mount Ijen. It takes about an hour to trek the three kilometres to the top. On the edge of the crater you can enjoy a panorama at Ijen crater lake. Besides, you can see a lot of sulphur miners with a load of around 80 kilograms on their shoulders walking up the rim and down the slopes of the mountain. After you enjoyed the Ijen crater lake, there is still time to visit the sulphur factory where sulphur is purified and packed in the village Taman Sari. Hereafter we drive to the harbour, to catch the ferry to Bali. We drop you at your hotel in Bali.
